Make sure the next government understands why nursing counts

The general election has come at a critical time for nursing staff, patients and their families.

There is a real crisis in the NHS and our social care services across the UK; shifts are chronically understaffed and the resources needed to provide safe and effective care aren’t always available.

We’re asking all Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPCs) to demonstrate their commitment to nursing by becoming an RCN Nursing Champion and give nursing staff in their constituency a voice in Parliament.

You can help us by emailing your PPC today. Emailing them is easy – all you need to do is fill in your details on the right and hit ‘Email my PPCs’. You’ll then see prepopulated letters for each of the candidates running in your constituency which you can send.

It’s time to raise the alarm on why nursing counts this election.

The RCN is campaigning in each country of the UK. Please let us know the country in which you live, so that the information you receive in the acknowledgement email is relevant to you.

Please note that you will receive an email acknowledging you have emailed your Prospective Parliamentary Candidates. You will receive no further information and your email address will not be used for marketing purposes.
