Write to your MP to protect jobs for newly registered nurses

The RCN is hearing from students from across the country who are struggling to secure permanent jobs as registered nurses after they graduate. This is deeply worrying. Nursing students are the future of nursing - they are critical to the future of our health and care services and patient safety.

Where will the NHS be if these passionate, highly skilled and safety critical new nurses can't join the workforce? Nursing students and patients deserve better.

If you’re based in England, use this page to write to your MP about this urgent issue.

If you’re a student, depending on if you're living at home or studying in another part of the country, you may be represented by two different MPs.

You can decide which MP to contact and you can customise your letter to let them know if you’re contacting them in your home constituency or from the constituency where you’re studying. This is because MPs have strict rules about how they can support their constituents.
