We are nursing staff in the NHS.

Our profession is indispensable to the health of our nation.

Over the last 15 years nursing pay in the NHS in England has fallen by more than 20% in real terms.

Many nursing staff are pushed into debt, poverty or out of the profession altogether because the value placed on our hard work cannot support the cost of living.

RCN members voted to reject the 2024/25 pay award because it did not achieve fair pay for nursing.

There are tens of thousands of empty nursing posts across the NHS in England. Every gap in our workforce puts patients at risk and increases the pressure on those of us left standing.

We cannot go on like this. Our profession and our patients are suffering.

The government has the power to change this for us.

Nursing staff, and all NHS workers, need direct negotiations with government. It's time to restore value to NHS pay and reform Agenda for Change.

Together, we need your support. Will you support fair pay for nursing and back direct negotiations?

We need our politicians to support fair pay for nursing.

Over the last 15 years, nursing pay has fallen by more than 20% in real terms. Nursing staff are being pushed into debt, poverty and hardship, and out of nursing altogether. The pressure this puts on nursing staff and patients cannot carry on any longer.

Together as nursing professionals, our signatures will show each constituency MP across England that it’s time to act. Once you've signed, you'll receive updates on the delivery to and response from your MP.

If you're not a member of the nursing profession, you can show your support here.
